It will be held online on the TechChange platform and in-person through a convening in Nairobi, Kenya.

Learn more about the GDHF Tracks

  • Explore how AI is transforming healthcare—from machine learning for diagnostics and clinical decision support, to predictive analytics, natural language processing, and generative AI for health communication. This track invites abstracts on practical implementations, ethical considerations, equity impacts, and governance frameworks for responsible AI in digital health.

    Sample topics include:

    • AI for health surveillance and prediction

    • Chatbots and virtual assistants in primary care

    • Responsible AI governance and bias mitigation

    • Use of generative AI in health content creation and translation

  • Brought to you by a consortium of partners including Google

As digital health systems scale globally, the need for coherence, interoperability, and sustainability has never been more urgent. Too often, countries are forced to navigate a fragmented landscape of tools, technologies, and approaches that don’t align—leading to siloed data, duplicated efforts, and diminished impact. Yet a better path is possible: one rooted in open standards, shared infrastructure, reusable content, and community-driven collaboration.

The Full-STAC Future: Building the Open Digital Health Ecosystem Track at the 2025 Global Digital Health Forum will spotlight this integrated approach to building digital public infrastructure for health. Anchored in the “Full-STAC” principles of Standards, Technologies, Architectures, Content, and Community, this track will explore how open, interoperable systems can drive more equitable, efficient, and people-centered care, primed to harness the full potential of AI.

Through engaging panels, technical deep dives, real-world case studies, and interactive showcases, participants will learn how countries and partners are applying the Full-STAC model to design scalable solutions—from national health information exchanges and FHIR-based APIs to SMART Guidelines and AI-powered decision support. Sessions will also highlight how open communities are co-creating the building blocks of digital health to ensure global solutions reflect local realities.

Join this track to be part of the growing movement toward open digital health ecosystems—where innovation is shared, standards are embraced, and systems are designed to serve everyone, everywhere.
